Akustikdoktorn is honored and proud to have been commissioned with the acoustics work for Nya Novum<\/a>. The client is Hems\u00f6 Fastigheter AB<\/a> with Tengbom<\/a> as responsible architecture company<\/p>\n

The work includes acoustic design of the new extension Hj\u00e4rtat, which with its light wooden frame and its beautiful but reflective wooden surfaces on the ceiling and walls requires a well-thought-out plan and well-balanced technical solutions in terms of sound insulation and room acoustic design. In addition, the extension includes two generous and acoustically exciting light shafts to provide good daylight conditions for the working environments and also a new auditorium on two levels with 180 seats.<\/p>\n

The Novum building with approximately 40,000 square meters of office and lab space is located in Flemingsberg, Stockholm's southern university area, an innovation center with an interdisciplinary range of research and higher education in a dynamic environment where knowledge and creativity meet.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Through project Nya Novum, the building is expanded with a modern extension of approximately 10,000 square meters of office and business space. A meeting place and space for service is created on the building's ground floor. A creative environment that attracts innovations through the exchange of thoughts, ideas and perspectives. At the top of the building, on floor 11, an exclusive, secluded king-size floor is offered with terraces in all directions and miles-long views of southern Stockholm. The new Novum is built with a wooden frame. It is also wood that also dominates the building's interior environment.<\/p>\n

 The first part of the project, a complete technical refurbishment of the existing house, will start in the summer of 2021. New construction of the middle part of the house will start in 2022.
